Backcountry skiing as seen a huge jump in popularity in the last couple of years, however with playing in the backcountry also comes the added risk of avalanches. At Wilson’s we rent and sell beacons, shovels and probes to help keep you safe on your winter adventures. Our experienced staff are happy to chat with you about the products we offer, but an avalanche safety training course if recommended to learn efficient use of the products. Cloud Cover - Aviation grade forecast model depicting cloud cover in Western Canada.
Somewhat technical, and will take a few minutes to learn to read the abbreviations,
though when you do, it provides accurate information on precipitation and the specific
elevations of cloud tops and ceilings. Very useful information for the high alpine climber.
