LAKE LOUISE and area has many mountain lakes plus rivers and streams that afford good fishing opportunities. These are high mountain waters, very cold and produce limited feed so the fish are not always large.

Some things to keep in mind...

  • Get your permit at the parks centre just north of the store.
  • Use only barbless hooks.
  • Catch and release recommended.
  • Most waters are open June 30 to Oct 31, check regulations for exceptions.
