Recommended Trails:
Bow River Loop:A user friendly green run for mom, dad and the kids of all sizes colors and flavors.45mins warm up ride or a slow tempo, stop n talk and see the trail that everyone can ride. |
Pipestone:A blue run but still very doable for all types of athletic riders. Riders can ride side by side most of the trail. Some challenging climbs make it interesting and it's a good place for riders to develop better shifting skills. This is comfortably completed in an hour. |
Moraine Lake:Moraine lake highline can require 3 to 4hrs and it's quite demanding indeed. One of the classic rides in mountain biking. |
Ross Lake:Ross lake is awesome as well, not quite as demanding, it's a great ride indeed. The bike pirate rates it 3 skulls and moraine lake is 5. |
Après ride:The timberwolf at the Lake Louise Inn has awesome pizzas and is recommended at the end of a days bike ride.Go Here for more information (Lake Louise Inn). |
Bill Peyto's Cafe:Another great place to visit and highly recommended by the WIlson's team.Go Here for more information (Hi Canada). |
Wilson's top tips
If You’re Going on a Bike Ride...
- Check your bike, is it safe? Do the brakes work? Do the gears gear? Are your tires inflated correctly?
- Take a spare tube and patch kit and pump.(and know how to use them) A small multi tool is good to have also.
- Take water and something to eat. Be prepared to be out there longer than expected.
- Take a first aid kit and spare jacket. You never know when you may need either here in the mountains.
- Be aware of trail conditions, know where you are going. Tell a friend and take a cell phone.
